4th of July 2010

Hurray for the red, white & blue

Once again our little town doubles in size as everyone comes back home for the 4th. The sidewalks are packed with families and friends and everyone is decked out in red, white & blue!

You can't beat a small town 4th of July parade. Pockets stuffed with candy, thrown
from the floats  (watch out for the little league teams, they THROW!)...

...old codgers waving from class floats, oh wait, that old codger's our papa!...

...the Pyromaniacs and their VERY loud canon...

...and all the screaming babies who were terrified of  the Pyro's VERY loud canon...

...rockin' out to the Country bands...

...and the awesome floats!

This was the first 4th of July without Steven and needless to say we all missed him like crazy! Steven was made for the 4th. He was everyones best friend and confidante and entertainer supreme, and on the 4th his audience grew by hundreds. He was missed and honored by the town he loved so much!

Steven was so proud to ride with the Apache County Sheriff's Department in the parade each year.
This year his horse and saddle with his boots turned backwards in the stirrups lead it out.

We miss our Stevie Lee!

Born in the USA! (mostly)
