Seuss on the Loose

SEUSS ON THE LOOSE!
As we were relaxing in our cute little reading nook, talking about Dr. Seuss and our favorites books written by him, who should appear but that wily old Cat in the Hat himself!

The Cat was intent on creating chaos and he brought along his assistants Thing 1 & Thing 2.
(In the form of push-up cake pops made from red cake, blue dyed pudding and blue cotton candy hair.)

Mr. Brown Can Moo - Can You?

We had a lot of fun reading this book and making the sounds. Some of my campers knew this by heart!
He can go like an owl-Hoo Hoo, Hoo Hoo!

Mr. Brown is so smart he can even do this,
he can even make a noise like a goldfish kiss!

Mr. Brown's Anti Charades

This was a really fun game that was the complete opposite of charades, you couldn't use any actions or gestures at all, only sounds! It was pretty hard but awfully funny!
For the little kids we had things like:
doorbell, train, animal sounds, etc
For the bigger kids it was harder: jumping off a diving board into the pool, getting into a car and starting it, washing clothes, a helicopter, taking a bath, rain and windshield wipers, etc. When you can't act it out it's a challenge!

Hop on Pop!
After reading this story, we all decided to have a hop on pop. I drew "Pop" on a twin sheet and the kids used poor old pop as a trampoline!

Then after Hopping Off Pop each camper got to choose two "POP" treats.

One Fish, Two Fish

Gramma over planned and we ran out of time so three books were completely omitted and One Fish, Two fish took place at a later date, hence the fairy costumes on the fisherman!

Each camper took a turn at the fish pond were
all the unused and One Fish, Two Fish  treats were dispensed.

Some caught REALLY SPECIAL treats!
